It's no farm road, it's a dirt street in a district near the international bridge. The city across the river is Posadas, (Argentina). Dirt streets are still common place round here, even close to downtown, although most are paved or stoned.
No, John, not many. Is a fairly cosmopolitan town because a large proportion of immigrants (germans, ukranians and japanese in the past, and more recently chinese and some arabians too.) The Iguazú falls, 175 miles north-east from here, attracts a steadily rising number of tourist, but the most part flies right there from Buenos Aires.
Ypora, Ypora. I have never been to Encarn, but I lived in Pedro Juan Caballero and Ciudad del Este and Paraguay is sooo tranquilo. You captured it so well.
