Oh now it does. I guess the bits were taking their sweet time flying in from Paraguay. They must have taken time for a siesta. Nice snap, pilgrim. Is this a farm road?
Warm regards,
John

Just when you thought you were through with me for one day, I have another question. What city is that in the background across the river?
John

It's no farm road, it's a dirt street in a district near the international bridge. The city across the river is Posadas, (Argentina). Dirt streets are still common place round here, even close to downtown, although most are paved or stoned.

Do you get a lot of western tourist there in Encarnacion?

Ezequiel Mesquita dijo...

No, John, not many. Is a fairly cosmopolitan town because a large proportion of immigrants (germans, ukranians and japanese in the past, and more recently chinese and some arabians too.) The Iguazú falls, 175 miles north-east from here, attracts a steadily rising number of tourist, but the most part flies right there from Buenos Aires.

Wow, that looks like one mean hill! This fellow must be pretty tired after climbing up it! What a great view of the city though!

It looks like two different worlds. The city on one side of the river and the countryside on the other side.
Great shot !

J'adore ce point de vue, avec la route rouge qui descend vers l'eau. Excellent!

Ypora, Ypora.
I have never been to Encarn, but I lived in Pedro Juan Caballero and Ciudad del Este and Paraguay is sooo tranquilo. You captured it so well.
